  • Larger Order: What should I do if I require a quantity larger than the available options?
Each available option represents the capacity for a single delivery. Should you need more than the available options, you will have the opportunity to schedule an additional delivery once you have confirmed the details for the initial one. For instance, if you need 12 cubic yards of Road Crush but the available options are 6 cubic yards or 10 cubic yards, you can choose either the 6-yard or 10-yard option for the initial delivery. After booking the first delivery, you can simply click the "Book More" button to add another delivery of either 6 yards or 4 yards.
  • Paying Cash: Do you take cash for the delivery and if so is there a discount?
Yes, we love cash. And we have a 3% discount called the "Keep Cash Alive" discount. If you would like to pay cash, you will need to call or email us directly so that we can arrange it. The payment can be made in-store or paid directly to the driver. Call us: 778-349-7623 Email: getit@getgravel.com
  • Trouble Order Online: What if I am having trouble placing an order online?
If you require assistance to place your order, please call us during business hours @ 778-349-7623 or email us @ getit@getgravel.com We are happy to assist. The order does need to be completed online so that it fits into our scheduling software. The best way is for us to take your details, and send you an "estimate" by email. You will then be able to complete the order online and pay for the order via credit card. The next best option is to come down to the store and we can walk you through it. 180 River Road, Prince George, BC.
  • Do I need to be home for the delivery?
No! During checkout you will be asked to place a Google Maps pin on the map of your property so that we can leave the material where you have requested. A tarp, flag or bucket set out is always appreciated as a secondary marking method. Please note any special instructions about gates, animals, or anything else pertinent.
  • Can I pick the time for delivery?
Yes! You will select a timeframe during checkout to have your product delivered and will receive a text message when we’re loading up and heading your way. When you place your order online, you will be required to drop a google maps pin on the location where you want it dumped, this makes it so that you do not need to be home during the delivery. If you require a more specific time, please request it in the order notes, and we will do the best to fit your timeline.
  • Can you spread the material?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we can spread the material for your or move it once it has been dumped. If you are home during the delivery, you may make special requests to the driver, but the driver may refuse if they do not feel comfortable doing what is requested.
  • What if I don’t see the amount I need?
We sell our product for delivery in half-yard increments, with our minimum delivery being a half-yard, but you are welcome to come by the shop to pick up materials in smaller bulk amounts or by the 5-gallon bucket, tote or garbage can. Our maximum delivery depends on the weight of the product. With our smaller trucks we can deliver up to 8-yards of soil or compost, 8-yards of mulch, and 6-yards of sand, gravel, or rock. Larger deliveries may require two separate deliveries. You can book multiple deliveries at one time.
  • I would like to order two different materials; can you deliver at the same time?
Unfortunately, we can’t deliver two loose products at the same time without them mixing all together! Each material will need to be delivered on its own. If you would like the products bagged, we can deliver them at one time, this will need to be scheduled over the phone or on store as our online system, does not allow it.
  • Can you deliver into my backyard?
This depends on your yard. If there is easy access that is at least 11' wide, then the driver may be able to do it, but only if they are comfortable doing it.
  • I notice that buying a half-yard costs more then half the price of a full cubic yard. Why is that?
Yes, a half-yard does cost more than half teh price of a cubic yard. For example, one-yard of a product cost $50, you would expect a half-yard to cost $25, but it will cost more. The reason that it cost more is the loading fee. It cost us the same amount to load half-yard as one-yard, therefore the loading fee for each quantity is the same. If you need at least one-cubic yard but can only fit half-yard at a time in your vehicle, we recommend pre-purchasing a full yard and then making two trips. This will save you some money.
  • What do you charge for delivery?
Our delivery fee varies depending on the area of town. Our base rate is set at $98/load. This covers the bowl area of Prince George. Anytime that we leave the bowl area, for example, the Hart, College Heights, North Nechako (past foothills), the price increases.
  • What size of delivery trucks do you have?
We have multiple sizes of trucks ranging from F550 Ford pickup dump trucks, a single axle dump truck and a tandem axles dump truck for loads that are 10-cubic yards or more. We will send the appropriate size truck depending on your order.
  • Can I bring my pickup truck to your yard and get products loaded?
Yes! Come down during business hours and we will load up your truck. You can pre-order online or order at the store. We have a convenient drive-thru kiosk set up so that you never need to leave your vehicle.
  • Can you load a truck with a canopy?
We cannot easily load a truck with a canopy at this time. It is our plan to build a conveyor system that will allow us to do this, we hope to have it build by 2025. You options are to load the product by hand or have the product delivered to your project.

  • How much can you load into my vehicle?
This depends on your vehicle. Our rule of thumb is this: "Half-ton" trucks (F150, 1500 etc.): Rock or Gravel, weight-wise half a cubic yard at a time. Soil or mulch - one-cubic yard at a time or more if you have a long box. "3/4 to 1-ton" trucks (F250/350, 2500/3500 etc.): Rock or Gravel: weight-wise one-cubic yard at a time. Soil or mulch: one and a half-cubic yard at a time or more if you have a long box. We are not responsible for overloading your vehicle. We can let you know the weight of each product and let you decide if it can carry the load.
  • What if I only need a small amount of product?
If you require less than a 1/4-yard of product then we recommend you bring 5-gallon pails, totes or garbage cans. We can charge you accordingly and send you to the pile to self-load your container. We can supply the shovels. We do not include the loading fee into the price of the product if you are filling a container yourself.
  • Can I get bagged product for delivery?
Yes! We can load up your requested product into a 1-cubic yard bag, and have it delivered to you. Our deliveries are done only on certain days of the week and will be delivered using a crane truck.
  • Can products be bagged?
Yes! We can load any soil, gravel or mulch product into a cubic yard bag. These are available to be delivered or you can pick them up in store.
  • Are the bags refundable?
Yes! The price of the bag deposit is included in the price. When you bring the back back to the store, be sure to have your order number available, and we will be able to refund the $35 bag deposit.
